Five Eagles named All-TRL softball

Five members of Uniontown's softball team were named to the All-Three Rivers League team earlier this week.

Four members of the co-champion Eagles were First Team picks, one of those unanimously. Lakyn Coyan, a senior shortstop, was one of eight First Team players who were chosen unanimously. Also picked for Uniontown were senior right fielder Torrie Hathaway, senior third baseman Mandie Ridge and senior second baseman Brit Stokes.

(Note: Grades were not given for players form Northeast or Altoona-Midway and the positions Marmaton Valley's players were chosen for were not indicated on the copy sent to the Tribune).

The other unanimous selections are sophomore pitcher Lauren Sluber and freshman second baseman Briana Francis from co-champ Jayhawk-Linn; Oswego senior shortstop Ashton Eckermann and sophomore pitcher Ashley Wimp; Northeast catcher Haley Robinson and first baseman Autumn Walker; and St. Paul sophomore catcher/first baseman Holly Hutcherson.

The remaining First Team players were Jayhawk-Linn seniors Carly Jackson at catcher and Chloe Wallace at third base; Chetopa freshman pitcher Cambri Conrad; and Altoona-Midway catcher Brittany Riley (.

Senior pitcher Taylor Wade was Uniontown's only pick on the Honorable Mention team. She's joined by Jayhawk-Linn senior left fielder Kayleena Boyd, senior center fielder April Krull, and junior shortstop Leslie Nation; Oswego catcher Kinzi Taylor and third baseman Tiffany Wimp, both sophomores; Northeast outfielders Jaycie Polhlopek and Morgan Maransani and third baseman Kamryn Osborn; Chetopa senior catcher Kayla Underwood; St. Paul freshman pitcher/center fielder Aubrey Corn; and Marmaton Valley's Kaitlin Ensminger and Emily Boyd.
