Approximately, 200 Fort Scott High School students and their guests promenaded on a red carpet Saturday night for the annual high school prom. Main Street, between First and Second streets, was blocked off for prom participants to walk to the Liberty Theater, the venue for the party.
Prom king and queen candidates nominated by teachers, then voted on by the senior and junior class students. Courtney Crain and Dale Savage were selected to reign as queen and king for FSHS Prom 2014. Other candidates were Ashton Mason, Madyson McColm, Marcus Brennon and Mark Garner.
