Tigers reschedule for Feb. 17; JV wrestling off

Saturday, February 1, 2014

Not wanting to take a chance with icy conditions forecast for Friday and Saturday, several school districts in Southeast Kansas called things off before the precipitation even began to fall.

Fort Scott High School's basketball games at Iola were postponed Friday afternoon. Later in the day, FSHS Athletic Director Larry Fink sent notice that those games will be made up Feb. 17, which is a Monday.

Uniontown's Homecoming games versus Crest Friday were also called off. The make-up date will be announced at a later time.

Fort Scott High School was scheduled to host a junior varsity wrestling tournament today. That has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.

Fort Scott Community College is scheduled to play a home basketball doubleheader against Johnson County at 2 p.m. this afternoon in Arnold Arena. The best places to look to see if those games will still be played are the Greyhound Athletics website (www.fsgreyhounds.com) and the Jayhawk Conference basketball page (www.kjccc.org/basketball/bbindex.html.)
