Rosalee Rager

Helen Rosalee Rager, 79, of Fort Scott, died Tuesday morning, January 21, 2014 at the Guest Home Estates. She was born February 2, 1934 in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of Clyde William and Helen Irene (Putnam) Coyan. She married Darrell Wayne Rager May 25, 1952 in Fort Scott. He preceded her in death November 26, 2008.

Rosalee is survived by her three daughters, Susan Atwood of Fort Scott, Julie Readinger and Loren, also of Fort Scott, and Lori Devall and Len of Baton Rouge, La.; a brother, Conley Coyan of Rogersville, Mo., and a sister, Clydeene Wallen of Pittsburg, Kan.; five grandchildren, Jennifer LaRoche, David Readinger, Eric Atwood, Joel Fisk, and Madison Devall; six great-grandchildren, Drake LaRoche, Montana LaRoche, Hailie Atwood, Payton Atwood, Andrew Readinger, and Mary Katherine Readinger.

In addition to her husband, Darrell, Rosalee was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Thomas Elwood Coyan, and a son-in-law, Mike Atwood.

Pastor Scott Moore will conduct funeral services 2 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home with a visitation beginning at 1 p.m. prior to the services. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Fort Scott Nazarene Church or to the American Cancer Society and left in the care of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall Street, P.O.
