Poster giveaway at FSCC game Saturday

The Fort Scott Community College Greyhound football team will open up its 2013 season against Highland Community College at 1 p.m. Saturday at Frary Field.

Team posters will be given to the first 100 fans 12 years and younger. This year's poster shows a host of players and displays the "Fort Tough" motto for the 2013 season.

There will also be an autograph session and fans will be able to come down to the track after the game to have their picture taken with their favorite Greyhound player or coach. Additional posters will be on sale after the game for $10.

Third-year Greyhound head coach Curtis Horton is excited about this season and wants the fans to be part of the program.

"We want fans to come out and fill the stands, wearing the colors, and being loud for the boys," Horton said in an FSCC football media release. "I really feel it is going to be a good season and a fun time."

Fort Scott will travel to Tyler, Texas, in week two, August 31. In week three, the 'Hounds will host Kansas Jayhawk Community College rival Butler, KJCCC coaches' pick to win the conference in 2013, at 1p.m. at Frary Field.

Fort Scott's other home games for 2013 are against Garden City September 28 and Independence October 5. Both games will start at 1p.m.
