Salvation Army helps those in need, sends kids to camp

If you noticed the envelope in yesterday's Tribune, you might have wondered, 'What does the Salvation Army do in Fort Scott?'

The short answer is, the Salvation Army (SA) provides emergency assistance to local families and allows children whose parents have a limited income to go to summer camp. The Salvation Army has launched a fundraising effort to continue to provide those services. Money raised through the envelope campaign will replenish SA resources that were drained last year.
