Students get hands-on conservation lessons

Eugene Ware Elementary School fourth graders had a field day at Gunn Park on Monday.
The 150 students and their teachers learned how to take care of the earth and to be good stewards of the land, said Mandy Shoemaker, district manager for the Bourbon County Conservation District.
To accomplish that education goal, there were seven demonstration stations near shelter No. 7.
