A Fort Scott woman was listed as possibly injured in a two-vehicle accident Thursday evening in Fort Scott, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report.

The report said a 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora driven by Felicia Renee Forester, 27, of Fort Scott, was headed south from U.S. Highway 54 onto U.S. Highway 69 when she failed to yield the right-of-way and struck a 2003 Lincoln Town Car driven by Connie Sue Beerbower, 59, of Fort Scott, in the side.

The Lincoln was headed south on U.S. 69 at the time of the crash, which took place about 5 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 69 and Third Street, the report said.

Beerbower, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Mercy Hospital Fort Scott. Mercy spokeswoman Tina Rockhold said Friday that Beerbower was treated and released.

Forester and five passengers in the Oldsmobile were not injured in the accident. Other occupants included Shannon Rose Hall, 28, Josara R. Forester, 5, Dylan G. Forester, 7, Nicholas W. Hall, 5, and Sara J. Hall, 30, all of Fort Scott. All but Sara Hall were listed in the KHP report as wearing safety restraints at the time of the crash.

Neither vehicle needed to be towed from the scene, the KHP report said.
