Thomas W. "Tom" Tallman

Thomas W. "Tom" Tallman, 86, 3x retiree, Tom's OK Tire Store Owner, Starkey bus driver and Hertz driver, passed away March 21, 2013, at Harry Hynes Hospice Center, after a long battle with cancer.

Memorial services are 2 p.m., Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 525 W Douglas, Wichita, Kan.

Tom was born in Ft Scott, Kan. to Dr. Harry and Nannabelle Tallman. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and brother. After serving in the Army, Tom married Millicent "Millie" Newell almost 65 years ago and settled in Wichita to raise their three children. He was an extremely hard worker and worked through his illness, stopping only eight months before his passing. Family, friends and all who met him will miss him greatly as he was an extremely caring man and never met a stranger.

Survived by his family: wife, Millie; children, Mark, Elaine and Lisa; grandchildren, Lance, Dara, Abbra, Addie and Aley.
