Loleta May Tracy

Loleta May Tracy, age 83, resident of Wichita, Kan., died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at her home in Wichita.

She was born Sept. 12, 1929, in Fort Scott, the daughter of Ivan Lee Workman and Elva Neomia Palmer Workman.

She married Herbert W. Tracy on May 31, 1946. He preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 1986.

Survivors include two sons, Charles W. Tracy, Wichita, and Alva L. Tracy , Haysville, Kan.; one brother, Charles Workman, Fort Scott, and a sister, Agnes L. Armstrong, Fort Scott. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Tracy; two brothers, Bill and David Workman; and a great grandson Michael Tyler Tracy.

Rev. Kevin Moyers will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Cheney Witt Chapel. Burial will follow in Large Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society and may be sent to Cheney Witt Chapel, P.O.
