Bronson Order of the Eastern Star has regular gathering
Bronson Chapter No. 65 of the Order of the Eastern Star met Wednesday evening Dec. 12 for a regular meeting with the Worthy Matron Linda Neville and Worthy Patron Glenn Smith in the East. Worthy Matron read a Christmas blessing greeting to all 11 members present.
The meeting opened in form and initiation was performed. Sister Geri Reeder reported on visits to friends at Fort Scott, Moran and Iola.
Brother Elvis Reeder reported on Darwin Badders. Brother Elvis also had been to the doctor having pains. Brother Larry Neville is having a battle with the shingles. Brother Glenn Smith spent time in the hospital not well.
Worthy Patron's closing thought: "Families are like fudge, mostly sweet with a few nuts."
A committee was appointed to see about scholarships for upcoming college students from Bronson.
Closing ode was sung and worthy matron closed chapter.
Jim and Martha Heffernon served refreshments of sausage balls and dip, cookies and apple cider.
Gifts of warm throws, non-slip socks and lip balm for Moran Manor was brought by the officers.
