Bronson O.E.S. meets
Order of the Eastern Star met at the Bronson Methodist Annex with Worthy Matron Linda Neville sharing a poem about peace, mercy, patience and Jonathan in the "First Thanksgiving of All."
Practice initiation was conducted. The chapter voted to make a cash donation to a local Masonic member who is going through some tough times.
The next meeting will be Dec. 12. Members will bring an unwrapped gift that will be donated to the Moran rest home for Christmas. To participate, contact Linda Neville at (620) 939-4599.
The Worthy Matron announced that the December Fun Night at the community center will not be held in December as the Bronson Fire Department will be holding its annual fundraiser dinner from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. that day.
A local Christmas craft festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive by firetruck at 11 a.m. and visit the children in the community center. At 6 p.m., the outdoor Christmas tree will be lit, followed by refreshments inside. Everyone is invited.
Refreshments of pumpkin bars, nuts and Cheetos were served by Julia Ann Rhoton.
