Bourbon County Commissioner made decisions on two more fence viewings during Friday's regular meeting. Commissioners voted unanimously that both parties should share the cost of a fence constructed for adjoining property owned by the city of Fort Scott and Jeannie Comstock.

The decision is the fifth in which commissioners ruled that the city of Fort Scott must share costs in the building or repair of fences near Lake Fort Scott. Similar rulings were made in the past relating to properties owned by Lane Cutler, Tom Graham, Dave Stewart, and Marti Tuchscherer, each of which abut property the city of Fort Scott is leasing to the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks for hunting in the Lake Fort Scott area.

Commissioners also decided on Monday that costs of repairing or replacing a fence on adjoining properties owned by Pat Vinson, 1313 Eagle Road, and Harold Headrick should be equally shared. Vinson already has repaired the east side of the fence and commissioners said the west side will be Headrick's responsibility.
