Pianist to perform Friday night
Local pianist Michael Lundeen will be the featured act during a concert at 7 p.m. Friday at the Heritage Park Pavilion at the corner of First and Main streets.
Lundeen has been playing piano since he was 6 years old. He has played for churches, weddings and other events. He plays mostly by ear, but can read music well.
He especially enjoys music covering the period from Scott Joplin to the Beatles, concert organizer Ralph Carlson said.
Lundeen is originally from Clifton, Kan., but has lived near Fort Scott since 1979.
"I am pleased to get Mike back," Carlson said. "He has great stylings on the keyboard."
The show is part of the summer Friday night concert series, sponsored by the Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce Downtown Division. The concert is free and open to the public.
Attendees should bring lawn chairs as seating will be limited.
