Piano, trumpet featured at Friday concert
This Friday's concert at the Heritage Park Pavilion will feature Ryan and Amber Goodbody, of the Goodbody Piano Studio, and Rachel Bradbury on trumpet.
The show, part of the Friday Night Concert Series, is set for 7 p.m. July 27 at the Heritage Park Pavilion at the corner of First and Main streets.
The theme for the concert is "Time Line," and will feature a variety of gospel music.
Bradbury has performed with the Fort Scott Community College band and performs regularly at the Presbyterian Village. She has performed before as part of the downtown concert series, event organizer Ralph Carlson said.
Carlson said many people have heard the talents of the Goodbodys. They performed at the "Messiah" presentation two years ago at the Presbyterian Church.
"I am excited about this show and am sure that it will be enjoyed by all," Carlson said.
Attendees should bring lawn chairs as seating will be very limited.
The concert series is sponsored by the Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce Downtown Division. The show is free and open to the public.
