Medicaid meeting slated

Current Medicaid and HealthWave members are invited to attend an informational meeting to learn how KanCare will benefit them. One of the gatherings is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Aug. 1 at the Danny and Willa Ellis Family Fine Arts Center at Fort Scott Community College, 2108 S. Horton St.

State officials, including either Kansas Department on Aging Secretary Shawn Sullivan or Kansas Department of Health and Environment Secretary Dr. Robert Moser and their representatives, will be educating beneficiaries on the new Medicaid system known at KanCare.
