WILMA WORKMAN

Wilma Workman, 79, Leavenworth, Kan., died Friday, July 20, 2012, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday July 24, 2012, at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie, Kan. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery.

Wilma was born on Jan. 5, 1933, in Crawford County, Kan., the daughter of Walter and Vera Hesson Smith. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service at the Kansas City, Kan., bulk mail center.

Survivors include her sons, David (Lori) Workman, Leavenworth and Dennis (Paula) Workman, Tonganoxie; one brother, Kenneth Smith, Fort Scott; two sisters, Imogene Hanigan, Oswego, Kan., and Ilene Everett, Girard, Kan.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Clarence Smith, and sister, Pat Yanke.
