Benefit concert; Tickets for Jason Aldean-Luke Bryan performance go on sale in July
Organizers of the Jason Aldean-Luke Bryan concert this fall have announced the date that advanced ticket sales will begin.
Youth Activities Team Co-Convenor Diana Mitchell said the team will launch ticket sales for the concert featuring the two country music stars starting Sunday, July 1. Mitchell said YAT members will personally sell tickets for the show from 2 to 5 p.m. that day at Buck Run Community Center, 735 Scott Ave.
Beginning Monday, July 2, tickets will be available at Fort Scott City Hall, 123 S. Main St., during regular business hours, which are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Preferred seating tickets will cost $75 each, while regular seating tickets will cost $50 each. Three forms of payment -- cash, credit card or check with valid identification -- will be accepted, Mitchell said.
The concert is set to take place Saturday, Nov. 10, at Memorial Hall, 1 E. Third St.
Mitchell said about 1,300 tickets will be available when they go on sale this summer.
"When they're sold out, they're sold out," she said.
Ticket prices will be the same at the door the night of the concert if the show does not sell out, Mitchell said.
Mitchell said YAT members have personally received several calls and emails about when tickets will be available for sale.
"The big thing right now is ticket sales," she said. "We're anticipating a sell-out."
The concert will serve as a fundraiser for the continued development of the 15-acre Ellis Park, located at 12th and Shepherd streets in the east-central part of town near Fort Scott Middle School.
Fort Scott native and professional baseball player Adam LaRoche, the event's host and close friend of Aldean and Bryan, is also one of the key people behind the shows YAT has organized in recent years.
Organizers are making tickets available locally first "to give Fort Scottians first chance to come to this concert," Mitchell has said.
Aldean and Bryan headlined shows organized by the YAT at the Bourbon County Fairgrounds in 2009 and 2010, respectively. 쇓
