LARRY EUGENE 'BUD' JACKSON
Larry Eugene "Bud" Jackson, 62, of Trading Post, Kan., died Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan.
He was born Nov. 23, 1949, in Pleasanton, Kan., the son of Glen and Lillie Wurtz Jackson.
Larry was a member of the First Christian Church, Pleasanton.
He had been employed in construction with KCP&L.
He worked most recently at the flea market in Pleasanton and enjoyed his work there.
He loved golf and watching sports.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Jackson. Survivors include his mother, Lillie Jackson of Pleasanton, Kansas; a daughter, Mindy Sidwell, Harrisonville, Mo.; four sisters; Carolyn Butler of Fort Scott, Kan., Glenna Bell of Bonner Springs, Kan., Janet Tiffen of Visalia, Calif., and Sandy Lash of Pleasanton, Kan.; and two grandchildren, Michael and Melissa Sidwell.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at the Schneider Funeral Home, Pleasanton Chapel, Pleasanton, Kansas.
Visitation was from 1 p.m. until service time. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
Interment was in the Pleasanton Cemetery.
