Potter joins Uniontown 4-H Club
The monthly meeting of the Uniontown 4-H Club meeting was held Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m., at the Uniontown Community Building. Hunter Potter was announced as the club's newest member.
Leaders Laura George and Teresa Martin handed out blue ribbons and evaluation forms in recognition to the members who participated in the model meeting at County 4-H Days. Members who participated were: Madelyn Ard, Amber Bartlett, Dawson Bolinger, Nikki Bolinger, Brooke Ford, Jordan Ford, Ben George, Cole George, Drew George, Chase Gleason, Rhian Gorman, Torrie Hathaway, Bryce Meanor, Marissa Meanor, Holly Shinn and Lauren Shinn.
Drew George received recognition for earning a blue ribbon on his speech at County 4-H Days and will progress onto Regional 4-H Days.
Madelyn Ard gave a health and safety talk about how to prevent getting the flu and the different types of flu that can be contagious to humans.
Dawson Bolinger and Bryce Meanor led the group in the "Happy Birthday" song.
Recreation leaders, Madelyn Ard and Robyn Martin, led the group in a game of valentine hearts and a bubble blowing contest. Torrie Hathaway and Amber Bartlett won the games.
The next meeting will be held March 14, at 7 p.m., at the Uniontown Community building. President Drew George asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Ben George moved to adjourn the meeting and Nikki Bolinger seconded the motion.
Refreshments were served by the Ford and Bolinger families.
