Redfield Ruritan plans February fundraiser

The Redfield Community Ruritan Club held its January meeting in the Redfield United Methodist Church Annex on Jan. 19 with 11 members and two visitors prseent.

The club members sang "America," and Wilma Graham voiced grace before the meal.

Following the meal, President Roy Johnson called the meeting to order and asked for the minutes of the last meeting and treasurer's report. Both were read and approved.

An Audit Committee was appointed consisting of Marilyn Love and Maryetta Hixon.

The club members voted to offer to host the Fall Zone Meeting in October.

Club members discussed improvements that need to be made to the Redfield City Park. In the spring, the members will be making repairs and doing some painting.

Plans were made for the February fundraiser. It will be a pancake breakfast on Feb. 4 beginning at 7 a.m. in the community building.

A discussion followed regarding the Independence Day Celebration held the last weekend in June. More discussion was postponed until the next meeting.

The meeting adjourned with the flag salute.
