Many Christmas celebrations

The youth of Grace Baptist Tabernacle enjoyed their Christmas party, held in the Family Life Center, on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 17. They ate pizza, chips, cookies and soda before playing games. They had a gift exchange with a different twist this year that everyone seemed to enjoy. Sponsors were the youth pastor, Brian and Brandy Rhoades, Ron and Linda Center.

Joe and Shirley White traveled to Prescott to the home of Joe's parents, Earl and Laurel White. All of Joe's brothers and their families joined for a meal and exchanged Christmas presents.

The beginner, primary and junior classes of Grace Baptist Tabernacle performed a Christmas program Sunday eveing, Dec. 18. Ladies working with the children were Joyce Gier, Linda Center and Beverly Russell. After the message by Pastor Rooks, Christmas treat bags were passed out to all of the children.

The Karleskint family met for their Christmas Eve dinner and gift exchange. Those attending were Buena Karleskint, Sue and Jerry Mildfelt, Lawrence and Millie Karleskint, Jack and Gina Karleskint, Eddie and Becky Karleskint, Tony and Heather, Chris and Leah Kay Karleskint, Lake and Lute, all of Fort Scott, Jim and Dee Karlesking, Tonganoxie, Mary Joe and Robbie Clements, Willard, Pat and Mike Worford, Springfield, Kathy and Ron Higgins, Tulsa, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Karleskint and son, Russellville, Ark., Jennifer and Kent Hyser, Liberty, Mo.

New Year's Eve day, Joe and Shirley White hosted their family Christmas for their daughter, Susan and Ron McBride, Arma, and all their children. After dinner everyone enjoyed a gift exchange.

Bill and Laurie Center, Lolo, Mont., spent Dec. 21 through Dec. 30 visitng with family here.

Friday, Dec. 23, Ron and Linda Center hosted a Christmas dinner and gift exchange with Ron's sisters and their families. Those attending were Nadine and Dave Russell, Clinton, Mo., Kathy and Monty Dade, Kayla and Andrew, Golden City, Mo., Ben and Jackie Scott, Solomon and Benson, Weir, Kan., Bill and Laurie Center, Lolo, Mont., Grant Center, Warrensburg, Mo., Lindsey Center, Kelsie Collins, Ronette Center, Scott, Kacy and James Center, and June Hereford, all of Fort Scott.

Dec. 17, Wayne and Marge Stringer hosted a Christmas family dinner for Jim Stringer, Ron and Elizabeth Kinnan, all of Rogers, Ark., Randy Stringer, Bartlesville, Okla., Ron and Jennifer Badds and family, Pittsburg, Rhonda Allen, Scott, Marliss and Kayla Buterbaugh, all of Fort Scott.

Visiting over the Christmas holiday with Buena Karleskint and other family members here were Kim and Shelby Brown and boys, Leawood, Kan., and Loren and Stephanie Karleskint and boys, Spring Hill.

Palmer May, Springfield, Mo., visited with Joe and Shirley White Dec. 21.

Carney and Estalee Simpson hosted their family Christmas Dec. 26. Joining them were their daughters Janet and Mike Keefer and Matthew; Carol and Ray Carter, Nathan and Patrick; and Estalee's brother Kenneth Kenney. Oda Keeney visited them that afternoon.

Ronette Center hosted a Christmas Eve supper for the following family: Bill and Laurie Center, Lolo, Mont., Grant Center, Warrensburg, Mo., Ron and Linda Center, June Hereford, Scott, Kacy Center and James, Lindsey Center and Kelsie Jo Collins.

Glen and Donna Callow were Christmas Day dinner guests of Wayne and Marge Stringer.

Roger and Kristen Simpson, Double Oak, Texas, visited with his parents, Carney and Estalee Simpson, and attended the funeral services of Roger's uncle Bob Morrison.

Ron and Linda Center hosted their family Christmas breakfast and gift exchange Christmas morning. Those gathering were Bill and Laurie Center, Grant and Lindsey, Kelsie Jo Collins, June Hereford, and Ronette, Scott, Kacy and James Center. They all attended Christmas services at Grace Baptist Tabernacle that morning.

Jack and Marge Stephan enjoyed their family Christmas lunch of soup and sandwiches and gift exchange on Dec. 17.

Ron and Linda Center were invited by Andrew Rhoades to his school Christmas program held at Eugene Ware on Thursday evening, Dec. 8.

Christmas Day, Dave and Sheila Blubaugh, Ethan and Amanda Smilie, Helena and Ben, Chanute, and Bob and Francis Fursman were guests of Brad and Bethany Blubaugh, Max and Grant.

Zack Stephan, Billings, Mont., and his mother Lisa, visited with his grandparents, Jack and Marge Stephan.

June Hereford, Ron and Linda Center, Scott and Kacy Center attended James Center's school Christmas program held at Winfield Scott Monday evening, Dec. 19. Ronette and Lindsey Center attended the Precious Lambs preschool Christmas program for Kelsie Jo Collins. Ronette took a video of the program so her parents, Ron and Linda Center, and her grandmother, June Hereford, could see Kelsie Joe's performance, as their programs were at the same time. Ronette was able to make it to the last of James' program. All enjoyed ice cream and pie after the programs.

New Year's Eve day, Dave and Sheila Blubaugh and her parents, Bob and Francis Fursman, traveled to Wichita to the home of Sheila's sister, Don and Sharon Madison, and returned home New Year's Day.
