Going along swimmingly

Work progresses Tuesday morning on the new city swimming pool and bathhouse near Buck Run Community Center. A 10-year, half-cent sales tax that went into effect July 1 is funding construction of the new aquatic center and a 6,000-square-foot addition to the south end of BRCC. Proceeds from the sales tax will pay for the bonds. The swimming pool is expected to be completed in time for the 2012 swimming season and the addition to Buck Run in less than six months.
