PEARL CONNER
Pearl Conner, 96, of Fort Scott, died Sunday evening, Aug. 21, 2011, at the home of her son Larry in Grove, Okla.
She was born Jan. 5, 1915, in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of James Richard and Rosa (Heitz) Crystal.
She married Vessie "Bill" Conner Aug. 10, 1932, in Fort Scott. He preceded her in death Nov. 20, 1994.
Pearl was a member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church. She worked at Litwin's Department Store and also farmed with her husband Bill.
Survivors include her son, Larry Conner and his wife Ann of Grove; a grandson, Douglas Conner, and two great-grandchildren, Eli and Bella Conner.
In addition to her husband Bill, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Fred Crystal, Joe Crystal and George Crystal; and one sister, Mary Sackett.
Pastor Dale Cummins will conduct funeral services 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, at the Cherry Grove Baptist Church with burial following at the Clarksburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening, Aug. 23, from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.
