Public meeting scheduled for Vernon County bridge closure

Vernon County, Mo. -- The Missouri Department of Transportation will host a public meeting Tuesday, June 21 to discuss with residents the closure of the Route V bridge over the Little Osage River near Stotesbury. Residents may come and go at anytime between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Nevada Community Center.

The bridge will close in the spring or summer of 2012. MoDOT would like to know any concerns residents may have about the closure and to see if there is a better time than another for the bridge to be closed.

Residents who cannot attend the meeting may go to http://www.modot.org/southwest/PublicMeetings.htm beginning June 21 to voice their concerns.
