Bronson Ruritan meets

Friday, May 13, 2011

Seventeen members of the Bronson Ruritan Club met on April 25 at the Bronson Community Center for their regular meeting. President Terry Johnston opened the meeting with the song "America," and Geri Reeder said the prayer. Decker's General Store and Station prepared pizza, and Geri Reeder served brownies. Roll was taken. Vice president Alan Stewart called for committee reprts. Work hours were turned in to secretary Louella Fuhramand. She also read the March meeting minutes, and Joyce Wilkins gave the treasurer's report.

Glenn Smith, zone 1, 2, 3 governor, talked on membership and food drive. Each member is asked to bring canned goods to the May meeting. On September 22, zones 1, 2 and 3 will be at Elsmore. A cabinet meeting will be at Bronson on June 18.

For the program, Joyce Wilkens read "Green Thing," and Terry Johnson read about Adam and Eve. Both presentations were very funny. The Bronson Day theme is Community Spirit for May 28.

The club adjourned with the flag salute. The next regular meeting will be May 2. Elaine Stewart will serve the club at the community center
