Elnora M. Harris, 72, a resident of Fort Scott, Kan., died Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at the Fort Scott Medicalodges. She was born Aug. 2, 1938, in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of Zeb Harris and Dorothy Vann Harris. Elnora had worked at Fort Scott Manor as an aide for 25 years.

Survivors include a sister, Carolyn Vann and husband, Russell, Fort Scott; three nieces, LaShawn Fitzhugh-Miller, Fort Scott, Shelly Vann, Chattanooga, Tenn., and Brenda Snow, Lawrence, Kan.; two nephews, Douglas Willard, Greenville, N.C., and Sahaun "Tim" Willard, Fort Scott; two great-nieces, Cire` Miller and Quinn Willard and two great-nephews, Brandon Snow and Cannon Willard.

Also surviving are several cousins including Mary Etta Willard and Edith Hawkins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Roma Willard.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 16, at the Mapleton Cemetery. Family and friends may meet at the Cheney Witt Chapel prior to leaving for the cemetery at 9:30 a.m. Memorials are suggested to the Elnora Harris Memorial Fund and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, P.O. Box 347, Fort Scott, Kan. 66701.
