Margaret W. Singmaster-Alvarez
Precious mother, Margaret W. Singmaster-Alvarez, of West Valley City, Utah, passed away on March 30, 2011.
She was born April 23, 1923, in Mulberry, Kan. The last of nine children of Anna Mae Northington Lewis and William Wallace Lewis, she will be remembered for her willingness to help others in need. Mom bought clothes and shoes for those who needed them especially children. We will miss her wonderful pies. Each time she went to a doctor's appointment, she took a fresh pie.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, German Alvarez; four daughters and their husbands: Joyce Lawhead and Donald Jones, Annette McDonald, Dixie Callahan and John Anderson, Heidi and Christopher O'Shea; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren.
Special thanks to mom's doctors the last few years, Dr. Krista Schonrock and Dr. Sherman Sorensen.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 4, 2011, 1 p.m. at the Murray City Cemetery, 5600 S. Vine Street.
