Quicken workshop scheduled
Submitted to the Tribune
A Quicken workshop geared toward farm and ranch operations is scheduled for March 16 at the Fort Scott Community College MILL (Maximized Individualized Learning Lab) in the Academic Building on the east side.
The event is sponsored by K-State Research and Extension, Union State Bank and Fort Scott Community College. Registration will begin at 2:45 p.m., with the program commencing at 3 p.m.
Participants will learn useful information on reports, categories, expense tracking, and how to properly set up Quicken Software for a farm and small business. The hands-on demonstration will allow producers to practice inputting information and reconciling accounts.
Prior purchase of the software is not recommended or included in the workshop costs. Example files will be available on a jump drive for a small fee.
Pre-registration is required as this is limited to 20 participants.
Call the Bourbon County Extension Office at (620) 223-3720 by Friday, March 11 for reservations. In addition, notify the Bourbon County Extension Office at least two business days prior to the event if accommodations are needed for persons with disabilities.
