Livestock Judging team places in contest

The Fort Scott Community College Livestock Judging team traveled to Louisville, Ky., last month to compete in the North American International Livestock Expo (NAILE) junior college division judging contest.

The exposition, which took place Nov. 17, is the largest purebred livestock exposition in the world. Twenty-seven teams competed in the junior college division. FSCC's team placed first in swine, third in sheep, fourth in reasons, fifth in cattle and fifth as an overall team.

FSCC's Chastin Leggett, of Columbus, Kan., finished second overall and Blake Nickle, of Hillsboro, Ind., finished sixth overall.
