Old Fort Genealogical Society meeting

Ruth Campbell/Tribune Floyd and Evelyn Feezel, Saundra and Ralph Carlson and Don and Mim Carlson listen and read over material during the Old Fort Genealogical Society of Southeastern Kansas meeting held in the Fellowship Hall of First United Methodist Church Wednesday. The group listened to President Ken Lyon's presentation on the rich military history of Fort Scott and his own family and personal military connections. He then invited others to talk about family members' experiences and connection to the military. Lyon has compiled a book titled "A Proud Legacy" for the June 2010 Fort Scott High School reunion.(Ruth Campbell/Tribune)
