Findley family reunion held in Fort Scott

The family reunion of the descendants of Eldon and Ula Carr Findley was held Sunday, Aug. 8, at the Buck Run Community Center in Fort Scott, Kan.

A catered lunch was provided followed by a social hour, prizes and old-time games. Winning the prize for the farthest distance traveled was Julie Hixon, Moscow, Russia; and shortest distance was Floyd and Joyce Findley, Fort Scott. The oldest attending was Doris (Findley) Query and the youngest was Jacob Findley.

The event was hosted by the four sons; Donald, John, Robert, and Floyd Findley.

Additional anniversaries celebrated were Steve and Kathy Hixon and Floyd and Joyce Findley, both celebrating 30 years of marriage.

Findley family members gathered for a family reunion in Fort Scott Sunday, Aug. 8. The reunion included a celebration of recent anniversaries in the family and games with prizes.

The next reunion is scheduled for Aug. 5, 2012 and will be hosted by Doris (Findley) Query, Helen (Findley) Hixon, Colleen Camp, and Gina Findley.
