World History class hosts Constitutional assembly

On Sept. 17, Eileen Leininger's World History class hosted the Constitutional assembly at Sheldon R-VIII Schools.

The assembly opened with Josie Loyd and Erica Conner presenting the flags and Andrea Gastel leading the student body in the "Pledge of Allegiance." Nicole Arrington welcomed everyone and Eric Leavell explained why the schools across America honor the Constitution on Sept. 17. Cole Worsley introduced the guest speaker, Fred Campbell, retired history teacher, coach, principal, and superintendent of Fort Scott USD 234 Schools.

Campbell explained the importance of the Constitution and many of the reasons it is so special to Americans.

Other members of the class are Dustin Ford, Nicolaus Coquillette, Micheala Middleton, Dustin Rhoades, Cody Seibert, Tra Hart, and Cody Baker.
