FSHS JV golfers fourth at Girard

GIRARD, Kan. -- The Fort Scott High School junior varsity golf team finished fourth in a nine-team field here Thursday. Coffeyville was the tournament champ with a four-man score of 197 and Independence was second at 193.
Fort Scott finished with a score of 212. Grant Stucky earned a medal as he tied for eighth place with a 9-hole score of 47.
Craig Davenport shot 54 for the Tigers as he finished in the top 20 while Reed Ramsey just missed the top 20 with his score of 55. The fourth team score was Jordan Nielson's 56. Also for Fort Scott, Garret Rash shot 59 and Tyler Clifton finished at 79.
The JV golfers have a tournament scheduled for April 15 at Sugar Valley near Mound City with Jayhawk-Linn as the host.
