Tasting Tour showcases homes and recipes

Nevada, Mo. --Thalias (Missouri Federated Women's Club) will once again be hosting a Tasting Tour on Sunday, May 2, 1:30-3:30 p.m. Nevada area homes featured this spring are those of Sally and Tom Thorpe, 13729 East Newton Rd., Crystal Lake; Jayne and Jim Novak, 823 N. Washington St.; and Donna Logan, 912 W. Briarwood Ln.

This year's tour theme is "Think Spring." The Thorpe home will have a Cinco de Mayo flair, featuring an assortment of Mecxican foods and beverages. Easter will be celebrated at the Novak home with an Easter breakfast. "Spring Fling" will offer cocktail party fare at the Logan home. Recipes for all menu items will be provided at each home.

Tasting tour tickets are $8 and are available through advance sales only, from any Thalias member, or by calling Janet Guthrie at (417) 667-7924. This event is not recommended for young chihldren. All attendees must have a ticket.

Proceeds from the tour will benefit Vernon County Cancer Relief, the adult business technology students at Nevada Regional Technical Center's Bowman Building, the Smile Clinic, the Nevada Area Multisport Club and other community projects.
