Mercy to sponsor FSCC baseball games again this year

For the second consecutive year, Mercy Rehabilitation Services will be the sponsor of a Fort Scott Community College home weekend baseball doubleheader. This year's sponsored games will be the April 17 doubleheader against Labette Community College. The first pitch for the first game will be at 1 p.m. with the second game to follow approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the opener.

"We are really excited about the support Mercy Rehabilitation Services provides to the community and also to our program," Fort Scott head coach John Hill III said. "Last year's game was our biggest crowd of the season and we're looking forward the same this year."

There will be numerous prize giveaways and activities taking place during the day that will add to the fans' enjoyment. These will be announced in greater detail as game day approaches.

The doubleheader could be key to the Greyhounds' post-season hopes. Labette is currently holds the final playoff position with the 'Hounds a couple of games behind.
