Presbyterian Village hosting benefit dinner April 29

Tuesday, March 23, 2010

The Fort Scott Presbyterian Village will be hosting their annual Good Samaritan event April 29.

The fundraising event will begin with dinner served by Chicken Annie's from 4:30-7:30 p.m. with a live and silent auction beginning at 5:30 p.m.

"This year promises to be the best auction yet filled with antiques, collectibles, and some great new items, as well," Fort Scott Presbyterian Village Executive Director Ginger Dierksen said.

Dierksen said that if anyone has any items they wish to donate to the auction, they should contact the Village at (620) 223-5550.

The cost of the dinner will be $6.50 each. Few tickets will be available at the door for $7.

The highlight of the evening will once again be a drawing for a five-day Western Caribbean cruise for two. Tickets for the drawing will be $5 each or $10 for three tickets.

All money raised will remain local to benefit those seniors who may need financial assistance paying for their care, through no fault of their own, which is available from the Good Samaritan program at the Presbyterian Village.
