PFC Lawrence completes Marine Corps Basic Training

Private First Class Cody L. Lawrence recently completed the basic training program for the United States Marine Corps at the Marine Corp Recruit Depot located at San Diego, Calif., on Jan. 22.

He is currently receiving additional Marine Combat Training at Camp Pendleton in California and will then be transferred to Fort Leonard Wood Missouri for more advanced military training in combat engineering.

PFC Lawrence is the son of Tom and Norma Lawrence of Fort Scott, and the grandson of Lloyd and the late Shirley Lawrence and of the late Norman and Carol Williams, all of Fort Scott.
