Church youth enjoy volleyball, nacho night

Mary Jo and Robbie Clements, Willard, Mo., visited with her parents, Tony and Buena Karleskint, the weekend of Jan. 16.

Saturday, Jan. 16, Susan White celebrated her birthday with all of her children and family at Chicken Mary's. Those joining her were: Rachelle Thurston and girls, Mike and Marsha Dark and children, Alicia Craig, David Goff, Debbie Gentry, Leroy White, Brooke Newel, Bob and Linda McBride, Joe and Shirley White.

Linda Center celebrated her birthday, Sunday, Jan. 17. Her mother, June Hereford treated all of the family to dinner at Chicken Mary's. Those joining them were: Ron, Ronette, Scott, Kacy, James and Lindsey Center and Kelsie Jo Collins. All of them gathered at the home of Ronette, Lindsey and Kelsie Jo's for cheesecake and Linda opened her gifts.

Jim and Dee Karleskint, Mayetta, Kan., visited with his parents, Tony and Buena Karleskint, the weekend of Jan. 23.

Saturday, Jan. 23, Linda McBride and Shirley White joined the Prescott Ladies Breakfast Club in Hume, Mo., at the Sisters and Friends Cafe. Twenty-one ladies enjoyed breakfast and visiting together.

The youth of the Grace Baptist Tabernacle were joined by the youth of Bible Baptist Church, Nevada, Mo., for a night of volleyball, nacho supremes, soft drinks and desserts. Sponsors of the group were: Youth Pastor, Josh and Wendy Pyle, Nevada, Youth Pastor Brian and Brandy Rhoades, and Ron and Linda Center.

Ron and Kathy Higgins, Tulsa, Okla., visited with her parents, Tony and Buena Karleskint this week.

Kitty Lewis, Kansas City, hosted a get together for her daughter, Aimee Lewis, who was back from California, at the home of Aimee's grandmother, Marjorie Lewis, Saturday evening. Among those attending were: her aunt, Beverly Peel, uncles, Ron and Bill Lewis, cousins, Kirn and Doug Harris, Nick and Jeanna Harris and Kole.

Sunday, Jan. 24, Joe and Shirley White visited their cousin, Ron Wutke, a patient at Mount Carmel Regional Medical Center.

Ron Center treated his wife, Linda, to dinner at Jim's Steak House in Pittsburg, Saturday evening, Jan. 23.

Joe and Shirley White enjoyed baby sitting with their great-granddaughter, Ryann Thurston, Wednesday, Jan. 27.

Linda Center was surprised Sunday, Jan. 17, in the youth department of the Grace Baptist Tabernacle when they gave her a bouquet of flowers and a gift certificate. In Junior Church they celebrated her birthday with brownies and orange soda.
