Firefighters battle New Year's Eve blaze

A structure fire at 1318 W. Barr in Nevada was fully involved by the time Nevada firefighters arrived on the scene just after noon on Thursday, Dec. 31. With seven firefighters and three trucks on the scene, it took just about an hour to extinguish the blazing garage and wrap things up, according to Lt. Kelly Wingert of the Nevada Fire Department.
