Parade route altered
Wednesday, September 23, 2009
Due to continued work on the construction of new sidewalks on Wall Street between National Avenue and Main Street, the Pioneer Harvest Fiesta parade scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday will take a new route.
Organizers said the parade will begin at the corner of Sixth and Main streets, then proceed north to the corner of First and Main streets where it will then turn west and proceed to National Avenue. From there, the parade will turn south and travel to the corner of Sixth and Main streets where it will conclude.
Parade participants may pick up their entry numbers at the bell in front of Fort Scott High School. For more information on the parade, call Randall Readinger at (620) 704-0782, or Allen Warren at 224-7761.
