FRANCES JO APPLEGATE

Funeral Services for Frances Jo Applegate, age 72, of Branson, Mo., will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009 at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson with Pastor Ross Fulton, officiating.

Burial will follow at Clarksburg Cemetery in Garland, Kan. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home of Branson.

She died at 10:15 a.m., Monday, Sept. 21, 2009 at Skaggs Regional Health Center in Branson.

She was born on June 15, 1937 in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of William F. and Una Marie Craig Mason.

She was part owner of Una's Café in Branson.

She was a former resident of Fort Scott, Kan., and had been a resident of the area for the past 28 years.

She is survived by her children: Melanie McDaniel and husband Rick of Fort Scott, Kan., David L. Applegate and wife Vikki of Hollister, Mo., Thomas J. Applegate of Fort Scott, Kan., Una L. Fullmer and husband Jim of Branson, Mo., Georgia H. Applegate of Branson, Mo., one brother, Jerry Mason and wife Elsie of Pittsburg, Kan., 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas C. Applegate, a son, Kenneth L. Applegate, a daughter-in-law, Debby Applegate and a sister, Jean L. Mason.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009 at the funeral home.
