Local Church to host Love and Respect video conference

Bethel Community Church will be presenting the Love and Respect conference for those who are looking to get a little more out of their marriage through communication.

According to a statement from the church, cracking the communication code between husband and wife involves understanding one thing -- that unconditional respect is as powerful for him as unconditional love is for her. It's the secret to marriage that every couple seeks, and they are discovering it at Love and Respect conferences all over the country.

The church will host the video conference Oct. 9-10. At this conference couples will learn how to stop the "Crazy Cycle" of conflict, initiate the "Energizing Cycle" of change, and enjoy the "Rewarded Cycle" of new passion.

The conference will be held from 7-10 p.m., Oct. 9, and 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Oct. 10, at the Bethel Community Church, six miles west of Fort Scott on U.S. Highway 54. The $30 registration per couple includes conference workbooks. Registration may be completed online at mybethelchurch.info.
