Bourbon County Arts Council holding Garagarama Saturday Sept. 12

The Bourbon County Arts Council will conduct its 22nd Annual Garagarama fundraiser and silent auction on Saturday, Sept. 12, in the 4-H Building at the Bourbon County Fairgrounds.

The nonprofit Bourbon County Arts Council presents arts programming in area schools; participates in the annual Gordon Parks Celebration of Culture and Diversity by sponsoring the creativity contest; co-sponsors the annual Echoes of the Trail event; and presents the annual Fine Arts Exhibit. The group also presents special events such as Chautauqua and special concerts.

The group is asking for donations of clean, usable items for the event. Items may be brought to the 4-H Building between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11. Pickup of large items can be arranged by calling (620) 223-6159.

The Bourbon County Arts Council is a 501(c)3 organization and donation forms are available upon request. The BCAC promotes and supports the arts in Fort Scott and throughout Bourbon County.
