Knights of Columbus host annual golf tournament
NEVADA, Mo. -- The eighth annual Knights of Columbus Golf Tournament was held Saturday, June 20, at the Frank E. Peters Municipal Golf Course at Twin Lakes. The tournament was played in a three-person scramble format and the teams were divided into two flights with awards going to the top three in each flight.
In the Championship Flight, Doug Campbell, Denny David and Tyler Judd took the victory. James Fast, Bryan Talley and Joe Hardin tied Campbell, David and Judd at 62 strokes, but ultimately fell short in tie-breakers to bring home second.
Third place wasn't far off the winning total in the Championship Flight as Len Zoglmann, Jeff Dreyer and Ron Farmer finished just one stroke behind the winners at 63.
In the A Flight, Adam Barrett, Shawn Pennington and Kenny Hill took a narrow victory as they finished the course with a final score of 68. Steve Hendricks, David Wilderman and Jason Wilderman finished second while Ken Richmond, Jesse Ornelas and Dan LaNear took third as a result of the tie-breaker.
Both the second and third place finishers in the A Flight posted a final score of 69.
