Blu-Jay boys second at Madison

MADISON -- Pleasanton's boys finished second at the Madison Invitational here Monday. The meet was originally scheduled for Friday but postponed due to heavy rain.

Madison won the meet with 148 points followed by Pleasanton with 108. Seven schools attended. Girls' team scores were not provided.

Blu-Jay boys had three event winners. T.J. Davis won two, taking shot put with an effort of 43 feet, 7 inches and discus with a throw of 115' 9". The 4x100-meter relay team of Dakota Kern, David Sowards, Joey Shoopman and Jon Ransier turned in a winning time of 46.2 seconds.

The girls did not have any event winners.

Pleasanton's teams will compete at the Crest Invitational at Iola Thursday.
