The Nevada sixth grade girls' basketball team took home first place in the Lamar Tournament Feb. 21 and 22, in their final tournament of the season.
The girls won their pool play game on Wednesday, Feb. 18, over Lamar's B team and started off on Saturday with only five players in attendance, giving up one loss to El Dorado Springs 39-29 in a very hard-fought game with no subs and very few breaks. --Submitted photo
The Lady Tigers came back on Saturday afternoon with a full team and took on Lamar's S team and came out on top by a final score of 38-8.
On Sunday, it was time to face El Dorado Springs in the championship game and Nevada took the win 36-18.
The girls would like to thank Coach Bartlett for all his time, training and encouragement!
