Hancock featured on upcoming television program
A Sheldon resident will receive her five minutes of fame when a video clip appears on a national television show this weekend.
Kelsey Hancock, 19, was notified on Wednesday, by the producers of ABC's Funniest Home Videos, that a video seqment submitted to them by her grandmother, Janie Claflin, also of Sheldon, will be aired during the Sunday, Oct. 12 show. The show appears on Joplin's KODE channel 12.
Kelsey's grandmother was able to capture the "goose" incident on video last summer when one of the geese that resides on the Claflin farm, took a liking to Kelsey's backside and firmly latched itself onto the seat of Kelsey's britches. It took several spins by Kelsey to finally free herself of the goose before the fowl got dizzy and decided to let go.
Kelsey is a sophomore at Fort Scott Community College, Fort Scott, Kan., where she is studying animal science. She is also a member of the college's meat's judging team and serves as a college ambassador.
