No freshmen football Thursday night

GIRARD -- Fort Scott High School's freshmen football game tonight (Sept. 18) at Girard has been cancelled because there is no power in the city and is it not expected to be restored in time for the beginning of the school day today. Girard has a no-school, no-play policy, so even if power were restored in the afternoon, the game could not be played.

This game was scheduled to fill a void created when Nevada was unable to field a freshmen team this season. A reschedule of tonight's game, if any, will be determined later.
