Garland fire department to hold fundraiser

The Garland Rural Fire Department will be having their annual fundraiser on Saturday, April 26, From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. inside the fire station in Garland.

Hamburgers or hot dogs, potato salad, baked beans, cake or pie, and coffee or pop will be served for a free-will donation.

Lots of good entertainment will be provided. The entertainment consists of a group consisting of Ralph Carlson and Red Stradley of Fort Scott and Don and Mim Carlson of Leavenworth; Holly and Madeline Reed of Arcadia; David Prickett of Deerfield, and the Cherry Jammers from Cherry Grove Church.

Med-Flight helicopter plans to land at 11 a.m. so plan to come early and watch them land.

At 12:30 p.m. we will have a ceremony around the flag pole and will be dedicating the flag pole.

At 3 p.m. a drawing will be held for door prizes donated by area merchants. A drawing for a $100 bill will also be held.You do not need to be present to win the $100.00 or the door prizes.

Everyone is invited to attend the fundraiser and have an enjoyable day.
